Return of the Mitten Tree

Last year, Mackenzie Williams of North Andover set up a Mitten Tree at Jaime's Restaurant and the Knights of Columbus to collect mittens for people in need.

That effort was a big success, so of course Mackenzie is doing it again this year.

The Mitten Tree is back at Jaime's. Since the Knights is closed, a second tree will be at JY's Bar & Grill in Salem, N.H.

And it's not just for mittens. Bring mittens, gloves, hats, scarves or socks, children and adult sizes.

Items can be donated to the Mitten Tree up until Dec. 22.
