In 1968, the Defense Department selected North Andover for the nation's first Sentinel Anti-Ballistic Missile base. Join Friends of North Andover Trails and the North Andover Historical Society on a guided hike of Boxford State Forest and "the missile site", while learning about the area's rich history, what's left behind, and what could have been.
Meet at the parking area at the end of Sharpners Pond Rd. Our walk will take about an hour, is suitable for children, and will be held unless it is raining steadily. Dogs must be well behaved and leashed.
