Fitness Together Raises $2K For One Fund

The money was raised one mile at a time.

Recently, Fitness Together hosted a Treadmill Challenge in hopes of raising $500 for the One Fund.

They surpassed their own goal and raised about $2,000.

Participants reserved treadmill times and pledges of at least $1 per hour for the whole day.

"We had one client's family bid out each other and our client Walter ended up with a $42.25/mile pledge!" owner Maureen Sullivan said.

Fitness Together is still selling Boston Strong bracelets to benefit the One Fund. The bracelets are $10 each and all proceeds benefit the fund.

"I must acknowledge one of my most supportive clients, Lisa Meyers for coming up with the idea and paid for all the printing services to post our challenge around town," Sullivan said. "As a passionate fitness business the encourages overall lifestyle wellness, we wanted to do something to support the victims. Especially because this happened during a great athletic event like the Boston Marathon."

You can purchase bracelets in the lobby of the business.
