ReplyI am no fan of either, but I will work as hard as I possibly can to elect Gomez. Markey has been in office way way too long. He is part of what is wrong with Massachusetts. No one should be in office for 37 years...

ReplyShouldn't that headline read, Markey down in the polls? The margin has tightened and though Markey is still in the lead, he is only up by a slight margin. Maybe it is just me but the headline is misleading. Shouldn't is say Gomez is closing in on Markey in the polls?

ReplyCharles did someone say we should be voting on this matter? We were just giving our opinions of what would be nice in that spot. Mere fantasy really...of what would be nice.

ReplyI agree ladies, it is the one thing missing down town and with lots of elder housing there, people have told me often how they miss the market in the area they could walk to daily. The down town area has so many other conveniences, restaurants, hair salons, bakery, wine and liqour, laundry, appliances, the library, all that is needed is a market.

ReplyI think Down town has been lacking ever since Star Market left. I would love to see a Trader Joe's or a or other comparable Market there. I think those who live in town and elderly folk would love that.

ReplyAmen Bob! we populous here in Massachusetts have been asleep at the wheel for far too long. And the government has long had no balance...Cronyism is the norm here.

ReplyThere are quite a few great farmers markets in the area as well as winter indoor farmers markets. There is a great one at the Tannery in Newburyport. Also a great market at Exeter High School every other week. All you need to do is google farmers markets...you can get anything from fresh fish right from the fishermen, meats, baked goods, vegetables, maple syrup and honey. There is also a market each week at Lake Street Garden center in Salem NH.

I am with you Buzz, anyone but Markey is my mantra, then Teirney he needs to go as well. Markey just uses those Liberal talking points...i.e. gun violence, war on women, tax the rich etc etc....yawn...I am bored with it, but the libs eat it up without so much as checking any facts....
