Just east of the Merrimack River you will find a cozy little restaurant on Sutton Street that is one of North Andover’s hidden gems. The owners are known to remember customers by their first names, they provide plenty of variety, and online reviews are glowing. The Café has been around for 19 years after opening its doors back in August of 1991. With 12 tables in its cozy little location near the Suttons Mills, it is a little known location that has a lot to offer. Breakfast starts at 7:45am at The Café, and a host of breakfast sandwiches are available to get your day started off well. The ham, egg and cheese is a popular choice. The bacon, egg, and cheese is another option. The sausage, egg, and cheese also gets the job done. These …

Halloween is days away and Good Day Café is celebrating with a spooky and delicious promotion. Kids in costume will receive a free chocolate or vanilla cupcake today. They’re topped with their own frosting, pumpkin rings, and sprinkles. “This is our second annual Halloween Cupcake Giveaway,” said Kathy Santoro of Good Day Café. “Halloween was always been one of my favorite times of year,” she continued. This North Andover business has far more to offer than cupcakes. “Pretty much everything we do is from scratch,” Santoro told Patch a couple of months ago. Their quiches are big, hardy, and made from fresh eggs instead of egg substitutes. Their breakfast burritos are made with a chicken chorizo, peppers, and a wheat tortilla. Good Dafe Café…

The leaves on the trees are in prime condition. The deep reds, oranges, and yellows are a vibrant reminder that we have a few precious weeks of autumn before they are bare and grim. Local restaurants are savoring autumn by serving fall flavors in their drinks, appetizers, entrees, and desserts. One local favorite, Jaime’s Restaurant on 25 High St., has created the ultimate fall concoction. The now famous Pumpkin Martini combines five elements to essentially epitomize autumn in a glass. They start with Van Gough Caramel Vodka, and next comes Smirnoff Vanilla flavored vodka. The key is a pumpkin spiced liqueur, from which the drink gets its name. A squirt of whipped cream and a cinnamon sugar rim around the glass complete this seasonal …

We can all finally admit that autumn has arrived and has made its presence felt with decreasing temperatures, increasingly colorful trees, and the excitement of the football season. North Andover residents are bustling about, whether they are watching the Scarlet Knights fall teams, back to school at Merrimack, or simply busy raking the leaves. Luckily, we have a number of restaurants around town to offer us comforting flavors for our families. Labor Day is almost here and its arrival has always been known as the unofficial end of summer. The days are getting shorter, the evenings are getting cooler, and in some places we can even see the leaves beginning to change colors. Students are getting ready to head back to school and football season is nearly upon us. The ultimate sign of the upcoming autumn is Labor Day. Maybe you have been a grilling maniac this summer, buying many tanks of gas or bags of charcoal. Perhaps you haven’t fired up the grill as often as you would have liked. Whatever be the case, a Labor Day grilling session is the perfect way to bridge the gap between summer and fall. William Yameen, of Butcher Boy’s meat department, chatted with Patch to recommend some …
