Mysterious Package Prompts Hazmat Alert at Flagship Drive Company

Hazardous materials crews and firefighters are investigating.

Image Communication on Flagship Drive received package containing a mysterious substance Monday afternoon, police said. Hazmat crews and firefighters were called to the scene. "We responded for a piece of mail that had a suspicious substance in it," North Andover Police Lt. Charles Gray said. He did not confirm whether or not the substance they found was white powder. But white powder was sent to three other nearby businesses, according to WBZ. A greeting card with a suspicious substance was sent not only to Image Communications, but also Home Depot in Methuen, a business in Lawrence and a law office in Haverhill, WBZ reported.
