Standoff Situation on Mass Avenue
Police and fire departments on the scene, traffic diverted from the area.
Area emergency personnel are on the scene of a domestic standoff situation that may involve a hostage on Massachusetts Avenue. Traffic is currently shut down and being diverted between Route 125 and Waverly Road. Area police departments and K9 units are on the scene. A reverse 911 call went out to North Andover residents alerting them of the domestic situation and noting there may be a hostage. 5:45 p.m. Man is in custody.
