VIDEO: Little League Parade Ceremony
Boston Red Sox mascot Wally the Green Monster helped North Andover's instructional league and tee-ball players start their season in style.
Yesterday at North Andover High School, the gymnasium was filled with hundreds of kids, treats and snacks, and a special green monster. The North Andover Little League held its opening day parade ceremony for its tee ball and instructional league players. On hand to join the festivities was the famous Boston Red Sox mascot, Wally the Green monster. Wally greeted the players as the parade commenced. Eighteen instructional league teams and eight tee-ball teams took part in the celebration. Led by their respective coaches, the teams marched into the gym and lined up for some unforgettable photos. Stay tuned to Patch throughout the spring and summer for continuing coverage on the North Andover Little League.
