Three wires fell and ignited at Village Green.
Just after crews finally restored power to the Village Green condominiums, it happened. Three wires fell and started flaring up. Glaring light and smoke filled the evening air on the sidewalk, and fire crews rushed to the scene to keep people away from it. "We don't even go near them," Fire Lt. Robert Bonenfant said as he covered his face from the clouds of smoke. National Grid will have to shut off power there again, until those wires can be replaced.
