Two wild birds and a historic home.
The readers have voted, and the winner of our North Andover Patch Facebook page cover photo contest is Ann Mosby for her photo of two turkeys in front of the Parson Barnard House. Mosby's turkey received 19 votes. One reader said: "Not only the subject, but the composition as well. Nothing says North Andover like The Parson Barnard House." The turkeys have become local celebrities with all the mischief they've created. Mosby's photo will now be set as North Andover Patch's Facebook photo, and she will receive a $50 gift card as well. Voting opens today, so, scroll through our photos, pick your choice to win and tell us which in the comments section by indicating the picture number. One vote per person, please. Voting will end at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 21. The winner will be announced Monday morning, Nov. 26. Every now and then, we use the North Andover Patch Facebook page to poll our readers. Today, we want to know: What pro sports team reigns supreme in North Andover? The four major teams are always in the news. The Patriots' season is almost underway, the Red Sox are currently in first place, the Bruins are coming off a Stanley Cup win, and the Celtics are honoring North Andover residents and in lockout.
