North Andover Police are searching for suspects involved in two Tuesday night break-ins. At 11:33 p.m., police received a call from a resident on Greene Street who said he saw a male running out of his garage. The suspect had broken into both of the cars there and stole $4 in change. A bike was found on a nearby street but it is unclear if that belonged to the suspect. Officers William Brush and Jason Wedge searched near Tavern Road and North Andover Middle School. Wedge and Sgt. Daniel Crevier then searched the woods behind Tavern Road and reportedly found a pair of green flannel pants but not the suspect. The man is accused of robbing a woman at gunpoint on Windkist Road Sunday.
State Police arrested a man in Haverhill Monday night who was wanted for an alleged armed robbery and home invasion on Windkist Farm Road Sunday. Police say Jeffrey Watson, 23, of Brockton, went to a home on Windkist Farm Road Sunday and held a gun to a woman's head demanding money. The woman told police the man had fled in a white car. The woman also told police she knew the suspect and was able to give them his name, North Andover Police Chief Paul Gallagher said. "The suspect had addresses in Haverhill and North Andover, so we teletyped to local depts to notify area depts to be on lookout," Gallagher said.
