Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Jimmy Fund Offer Holiday Greetings to Fight Cancer

This season, kick off your holiday shopping by supporting a good cause with Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund’s 2012 Holiday Collection of original cards, candles, ornaments, and – new this year – an exclusively-designed Alex and Ani snowflake bracelet. The collection is now available online and in local stores and all proceeds benefit adult and pediatric care and cancer research at Dana-Farber. The limited-edition Alex and Ani snowflake bracelet is available in gold or silver for $28. The bangle, exclusively created for the Jimmy Fund, is available at all Paper Store locations, Friends' Corner Gift Shop at Dana-Farber, and at www.Dana-FarberHoliday.org. North Andover walkers honored as Pacesetters for Jimmy Fund Walk

Nine North Andover residents were recently honored as Pacesetters for the 2011 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk presented by Hyundai. The Pacesetters collectively raised more than $50,000 of the nearly $7 million in the 2011 Jimmy Fund Walk, which benefits adult and pediatric cancer research and care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Pacesetters are dedicated walkers who are committed to raising at least $1,250 for Dana-Farber. In 2011, nearly 1,300 of the 8,500 walkers achieved Pacesetter status. On March 25, the 2011 Pacesetters were recognized at the Jimmy Fund Walk’s Extra Mile Brunch at the Boston Marriott Copley Place. Pacesetters are the fundraising “stars” of the event.
