Scarlet Knights Cross-Country Sends Four Runners to All-States

Even though the North Andover cross-country teams missed the cut at the MIAA Eastern Mass Divisional Championships on Nov. 13, four Knights qualified for the All-State Meets on Nov. 20 in Gardner, MA with strong individual performances.

It was a matter of five points that ended up keeping the North Andover Scarlet Knights boys team out of the All-State Meets, as they finished in fifth place in Division II at the MIAA Eastern Mass Divisional Championships on Nov. 13 at Franklin Park. "We were just out by seven spots and 20 seconds," said head coach Rick Dellechiaie, "it was close and we made it interesting. Overall I am very happy with the way we ran today." The Knights (179) were just edged out by fourth place Lincoln-Sudbury (172) and missed the wildcard entry as their team time (1:28.56) was behind Acton-Boxborough (1:26.02), the DI fifth place finisher.
