The Café: North Andover's Hidden Gem

This breakfast and lunch restaurant has good prices, a friendly atmosphere, and most importantly, great food.

Just east of the Merrimack River you will find a cozy little restaurant on Sutton Street that is one of North Andover’s hidden gems. The owners are known to remember customers by their first names, they provide plenty of variety, and online reviews are glowing. The Café has been around for 19 years after opening its doors back in August of 1991. With 12 tables in its cozy little location near the Suttons Mills, it is a little known location that has a lot to offer. Breakfast starts at 7:45am at The Café, and a host of breakfast sandwiches are available to get your day started off well. The ham, egg and cheese is a popular choice. The bacon, egg, and cheese is another option. The sausage, egg, and cheese also gets the job done. These …

The Cafe does indeed have yummy sandwiches and an exceptional atmosphere. It is true that Chuck, the owner knows everyone by name. I used to work the front counter for him back when he opened and it was great back then and still great now! Chuck is also a great employer to work for, he treats everyone with respect.   more ›

Grab a Free Cupcake at Good Day Café

Today kids can grab a free chocolate or vanilla cupcake if they arrive in costume.

Halloween is days away and Good Day Café is celebrating with a spooky and delicious promotion. Kids in costume will receive a free chocolate or vanilla cupcake today. They’re topped with their own frosting, pumpkin rings, and sprinkles. “This is our second annual Halloween Cupcake Giveaway,” said Kathy Santoro of Good Day Café. “Halloween was always been one of my favorite times of year,” she continued. This North Andover business has far more to offer than cupcakes. “Pretty much everything we do is from scratch,” Santoro told Patch a couple of months ago. Their quiches are big, hardy, and made from fresh eggs instead of egg substitutes. Their breakfast burritos are made with a chicken chorizo, peppers, and a wheat tortilla. Good Dafe Café…

Not typical breakfast food. I am self-employed, have long work days and like to start my day with a good protein, dinner-type meal. Love salad and green veggies. A favourite is a grilled turkey burger served over steamed kale with a few sliced tomatoes drizzled with olive oil and strew with basil and a few sprinkles of crumbled feta on the side. There is always melon or berries to follow and …   more ›

A Pair of Local Brunches

Set aside some time to have brunch at a local restaurant.

Sunday brunch can be a treat or part of your routine. A brunch can be fancy or casual and indulgent. Sometimes a brunch focuses more on breakfast foods while others prefer offerings of lunch-type meals. Whatever your brunch preference, it's always a nice idea to put aside some time to enjoy a meal so unique that it overlaps two conventional meal times. Fortunately for North Andover residents, finding a fantastic spot to have a hearty brunch is not that tough. One such place is Burton's Grill on 114. Their Sunday brunch is open every Sunday from 11am to 3pm. Their special brunch menu is unique, diverse, and worth sampling on multiple occasions. Manager Steven Gerrish suggested the Filet Benedict as a perfect way to brunch. "It's two …
