A round up of North Shore restaurant and food news.
When you're looking for a night out and a break from cooking, you might want to know what's new not just where you live, but in other nearby North Shore communities. Here's our round up of the latest food news in the area. You want cupcakes? How about 25 varieties of 'em? Pink Tree Sweets on Main Street opened just a few weeks ago. The Black Cow Tap & Grill reopened with a splashy new look and 33 beer taps. Did we mention it now has 33 beer taps? Speaking of beer, Patch writer Jay Oza has a run-down on seasonal winter beers, where to get them and what to eat with them. Burrito fans: The new Chipotle in North Beverly was scheduled to open Thursday. The Farm Downtown um, bought the farm. The sandwich place on Ratoul Street has been replaced …

As the season changes from autumn to winter, many restaurants and bars are no longer offering the sweet and delicious pumpkin flavored beers that we enjoy with cinnamon sugar rims. Instead of mourning the temporary loss of these brilliant brews, let’s celebrate the new seasonal beers that will surely warm up our winter. When it comes to food and beer, we at Patch are big proponents of going local. So here are some local restaurants that are serving local, seasonal beers. Jaime’s Restaurant, over on High Street, is offering a unique brew that will be new to many North Andover residents. Phantom Punch Winter Stout arrived at Jaime’s recently. It’s brewed by the Baxter Brewing Company in Lewiston, Maine. BevNET Magazine named Baxter Brewing …

“Great meal, great deal,” say the Ninety Nine Restaurant’s television commercials. North Andover’s Ninety Nine restaurant is no exception according to manager Len Caffrey. “The most popular section of the menu is a section called nine for $9.99 and they’re full sized entrees,” he said. Among the nine entrees are Pork Tenderloin Tips, Bruschetta Chicken, Chicken Parmigiana, and Top Sirloin Steak. “The classics like steak tips and burgers are very popular here at the Ninety Nine,” Caffrey said. He was, however, quick to point out one of the top sellers here in North Andover. “One of our most popular items here is the Honey BBQ Chicken Wrap; we sell hundreds of those a week,” he said. For $9.29, the wrap is filled with crispy chicken tenders…

Jimmy’s Culpeppers in North Andover is the only spot in town where you can see the Godfather, the Soprano, and even Robert De Niro or Frank Sinatra all in one place. The Godfather himself is Jimmy Tringale, owner of Culpeppers for 14 years. The other Godfather is a popular pizza topped with sausage and roasted red peppers available for $14.99. The Soprano also has its fair share of fans. “The most popular is the Soprano, which is a meat lover’s pizza,” Tringale told Patch. For $15.99 this pie combines pepperoni, meatballs, and sausage. The Robert De Niro pizza combines many of the previously mentioned ingredients. Sausage, pepperoni, meatballs, peppers, and onions top this hit. The Frank Sinatra has the same toppings along with mushrooms. …

Happy St. Patrick's Day. Here are five places you may want to celebrate.
It's St. Patrick's Day, that time of year when everyone's Irish. So break out that festive (or tacky) green sweater, call your many friends named Sully, and rock the day with Irish flair. And you don't have to trek all the way to Boston to celebrate. Here are five local places to go tonight. 1. Rolf's: Ok technically Rolf's isn't Irish, but today it is. And this Main street pub offers the atmosphere of beer flowing and music playing you may be craving, as well as a wide selection of food. Rolf's will have live music and free corned beef sandwiches. 2. The Loft: In the mood to go old world? The Loft on Route 125 offers a classic setting to get your Irish on with a steak and some beer. And they have a special St. Patrick's Day menu planned …
