Your Guide: Puppy Swim

If you're looking for a fun experience with your nautically-inclined dog, head to Reading on Sunday.

The Burbank YMCA down in Reading is holding their first annual puppy swim fundraiser to benefit the annual fund. Bring your four legged friends to the benefit on Sunday, Aug. 25 from 2 to 6 p.m.

Bring your dog or puppy to the Y to swim in the therapy pool before it's drained for yearly cleaning. You do not have to be a member to participate. The benefit will feature free treats for all participants and their owners. Attendants will get to meet Bentley the Burbank Y Boston Strong Terrier mascot.

“The Y is so much more than a place to work out or swim,” Burbank Y Executive Director Irene Collins said in a recent release. “I asked the staff to think of a fun and engaging way to raise money and they enthusiastically proposed the Puppy Swim.”
