It's Labor Day Weekend, the unofficial end of summer. The weekend is expected to bring a mix of weather including heat, sunshine and rain. Here are some things to do locally:
Apple Picking: Smolak Farms will welcome autumn with a series of events, starting with the opening of pick-your-own apples on Saturday. Apples are available by the half-peck (10-12 lbs.) for $25 or half-bushel (20-24 lbs.) for $35.
BBQ: It's a popular weekend for cookouts, so head over to Butcher Boy or The Meat House and grab some steaks, burgers, hot dogs, and whatever else you like on your grill.
Art Studio: Julie's School of Art is having an Open House Sunday. Check it out, and see if your kids may want to hone their artistic talents this autumn.
