Theater, Christmas and Pumpkins This Weekend in North Andover

Your local guide to weekend fun.

Weather-wise, we're in for warm temperatures all weekend, with rain all day Friday and part of Sunday.

On Friday, Susan Poulin will present a one-woman show, "I married an Alien" at 7:30 p.m. at the Rogers Center for the Arts at Merrimack College.

And Christmas will be here in a few weeks. On Saturday, stop by the "Ye Olde Christmas Faire," starting at 9 a.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. There will be breakfast from 9 to 10:30 a.m. and Lunch starting at 11 a.m. The fair includes handmade crafts and gifts, Cupcake Boutique, homemade baked goods, jams, jellies, books, Nana’s Attic, a raffle, fun activities for the kids and more.

Also on Saturday, Smolak Farms will host a Pumpkin Smashing Festival starting at 10 a.m.

And the MSPCA will be having a Fee-Waived Cat Adoption all day. All cats older than 1 year old will be available for adoption with no fee.

On Sunday, the Merrimack Valley Philharmonic will perform with 15-year-old piano soloist Kadar Qian at 2:30 p.m. at the Rogers Center for the Arts. Qian, winner of numerous young artist competitions, has performed with a variety of local symphony orchestras.

And don't forget to turn your clocks back one hour on Saturday night into Sunday morning.
