Special Veterans Day Comedy Show Saturday

Comedian Joey Carroll has entertained troops in Iraq, and he's coming to North Andover this weekend.

Veterans Day is Monday, and one of the ways you can show support for our vets this weekend is with laughter.

Lots of Laughs Comedy Lounge will host a special Veterans Day Comedy Show Saturday night featuring Boston comedian Joey Carroll.

Carroll has entertained the troops oversees three times. He has a CD out as well, "Live from Iraq."

Carroll's website describes him as being "a cross between George Carlin and Dennis Miller," so chances are it will be edgy and there will be a few gasping laughs.

"He's usually never around because he does USO tours all the time," Lots of Laughs co-owner Chris Flahive said. "He does a lot of work for veterans and stuff so we figured it would be a good fit."

The show will also include special guests Jack Walsh and Steve Bjork.

Doors open at 8 p.m., and the show starts at 9 p.m. Tickets are $20.

And if you're feeling hungry, you're in luck. The club is inside China Blossom and China Blossom's full menu and buffet will be available before and during the show.
