Holiday Fun, Primped Paws and Pancakes This Weekend in North Andover

Your local guide to weekend fun.

This weekend is looking chilly weather-wise, with freezing rain Friday night and temperatures in the 30s on Saturday and Sunday. Here are a few things to do to warm your spirits.

On Friday, the Andover/North Andover YMCA will host Friday Night Lights starting at 7:30 p.m.

On Saturday, head over to North Parish Church for their annual Red Bow Fair starting at 9 a.m. Admission is free. There will be crafters showcasing and artists selling their work, holiday floral arrangements, a silent auction, country store, baked goods, Granny’s Attic, Kids Mall and more. Community Giving Tree in West Boxford is hosting their annual Holiday Gift Drive Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. For information on specific items they need, check their list here.

The Fairy Tale Players will perform "Rapunzel" Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. And after the show, your children can talk with the characters, take photos and try on costumes.

Also on Saturday, Ciao! Bow Wow is offering "Clips for a Tip," pet nail clipping in the store, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The New England Classical Singers will have their Holiday Concert Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Rogers Center for the Arts.

On Sunday morning, head over to the Cochichewick Masonic Lodge for their Pancake Breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. at 19 Johnson St. The breakfast -- $5 per person and free for kids under 6 years old -- is all-you-can-eat, and there will be pancakes, sausage, eggs, juice and coffee.

On Sunday afternoon, the Merrimack Valley Philharmonic Orchestra will perform their annual Holiday Concert at 2:30 p.m. at the Rogers Center for the Arts. There will be a silent auction before the concert starting at 1 p.m.
