Thank You North Andover For A Fabulous National Night Out

National Night Out Keeps Getting Better and Better

WOW ...where to begin..oh boy,  who knows,  except THANK YOU North Andover  !

Tuesday August 7th  North Andover Police and CrimeWatch hosted their annual National Night Out event at Hayes field. NAPD and CrimeWatch Block Captains spend six months ( and a year of ideas) planning this event.  But every year after the event ends, we all look at each other in AWE...and say:

 "That was Unbelievable"

We organize, plan, invite, promote and logistically design this event but we truly never know exactly what to expect.   As the event is going on, we are all performing our assigned tasks but each of us take a moment to look around the field and see what really is going on, and honestly, it is just breathtaking. We know which law enforcement departments will be there, we know Jeff Crosby and the fire department will have fire safety demos, Officer Crevier and Det Cronin will be driving the ATV for hours,  Chief Gallagher,  Lt. Gray,  Fire Chief Melnikas  will be engaging in conversation with everyone, our local businesses will line the field with freebies and restaurants will be providing food for our guests.  But we never really know what to expect.....

Having  4000 people in the same place at the same time creates an energy level that one cannot explain, instead that energy just takes over, it becomes the leader of the night and we follow.

Seeing children with their balloons, eating ice cream, dancing in the fields and laughing having the time of their lives just radiates and brings smiles to everyone's faces. But when children come running  up to you and start telling their stories of meeting a "police officer" or "getting to climb" on a fire truck
and their excitement is just overwhelming, well, that is heartwarming.  They then tell you they want to be a police officer or a firefighter when they grow up because it " helps people" means these kids really understood the concept of our Safety and Community event.

Still, this event does turn into the "BIGGEST party in town"

NAPD and CrimeWatch THANK the entire community for making this event was it is and what it will continue to be.  National Night Out is always held the first Tuesday of August each year.  Save the date now and join us next year.

Oh and this event isn't just for children...any questions about that just ask TROMBLY BROS !!!
