Sean Tully Named Head Tennis Coach Following Stevens’ Resignation

The following was submitted by Brad Davis of Merrimack College.

Director of Athletics Glenn Hofmann announced that Sean Tully has been named the new head men’s and women’s tennis coach after Chris Stevens resigned from the position.

“I want to thank Chris for his six years at Merrimack,” said Hofmann. “He brought both tennis programs to new heights, reaching the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history for both the men and women. At the same time, I am extremely happy to find someone like Sean to replace him. Sean brings tremendous enthusiasm and a passion for tennis that will keep the program successful for years to come.”

“I am excited to build on the momentum with both the men’s and women’s teams,” said Tully. “The sky is the limit for the potential of both teams, and it will be my job to push each player beyond their known limits with on and off the court training. The confidence that comes with preparing to our fullest capabilities will give us an edge against every team we face. I look forward to a great season!”
