Director of Athletics Glenn Hofmann has announced the resignation of head softball coach Elaine Schwager.

“I’d like to thank Elaine for her service and dedication to the Merrimack softball program,” said Hofmann. “She was a valuable member of our athletic department and did a great job leading last year’s squad to the Super Regionals.”

In six seasons at Merrimack, Schwager posted a 123-143 record and was the 2009 Northeast-10 Coach of the Year after guiding her squad to a 17-win improvement and a 26-19 overall record.
