North Andover's Mark Larosa Runs Boston Marathon in 2:59

About 36,000 runners ran the 118th marathon Monday.

North Andover resident Mark Larosa finished Monday's Boston Marathon with a time of 2 hours, 59 minutes, and 21 seconds.

The time was good for 2,230th place overall. The 35-year-old was the fastest North Andover runner.

There were 54 North Andover residents registered to run the race. Search for results by town or name on the Boston Marathon website.

American Meb Keflezighi finished first overall with a time of 2 hours, 8 minutes, and 37 seconds. He was the first American to win the race since 1983.

About 36,000 runners registered for the marathon, which featured a larger-than-usual crowd of about a million spectators after last year's deadly bombings.
