“The schedule is a compilation of Division I, II, and II events,” said Crovetti. “It’s an aggressive and competitive schedule, which should benefit our team and program moving forward. We are very excited to travel around New England to compete in our inaugural year.”

In October, Merrimack will tee off at the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate (Oct. 1), the Rutgers Invitational (Oct. 13), and the Nazareth Invitational (Oct. 15).

Along with women’s crew, women’s golf was added as an intercollegiate sport at Merrimack for 2011-12, pushing the total number of intercollegiate sports offered to twenty-two. In just two years, Merrimack has increased its number of sports from 16 to 22, after men’s and women’s indoor and outdoor track were added in 2010-11.
