On Saturday at Bridgewater State College, the girls track team took sixth place in the MIAA Division 2 track and field championships while the boys failed to qualify for the top ten.
Girls
performed well in her specialty, the 400 meter hurdles. She finished with a time of 1:05.02. Julia Mehlman was North Andover’s only other second place finisher with a time of 26.37 in the 200 meter dash.

In the 100 meter dash, Krista Perryman finished in sixth place for a time of 13.25. Olivia Marshall also had a sixth place finish, and that was in the two mile run. Marshall’s time was 11:59.12.
In the pole vault competition, Kristen Ditroia took third place while her teammate Anne Lafond took fifth. The 4x100 meter relay team performed well enough for a third place finish and a time of 50.38.

North Andover’s sixth place finish was good for 40 points. They finished only two points behind fifth place Ipswich. Mansfield won the meet with 87.5 points.
Boys
A disappointing day by the boys was highlighted by a pair of fifth place finishes. Ahamdi Ogwuru cleared 6-0 for fifth in the high jump competition. Kyle Quinn cleared 11-6 for fifth in the pole vault.
North Andover did not qualify for the top ten. Mansfield took first place by a landslide scoring 126 points.
