Girls Lax Team Crushes Billerica

The softball and boys tennis teams also came away with wins yesterday.

Girls Lacrosse

North Andover recovered from a to demolish Billerica 20-6.

Olivia Boudreau had the game of her life scoring nine goals en route to the commanding victory. Maggie and Audrey Samuelman added three apiece to add to Billerica’s devastation.

The Knights recovered from their first two game losing streak of the season to improve to 15-3. The regular season is now over and the Knights set their sights on a run in the MIAA Division 2 North Playoffs.

Softball

The team under interim coach Steve Long came away with a 7-1 win against their rivals from Masco.

North Andover scored five runs in the third inning to get more than enough offense against the Chieftains. Kim Crucioli got the win for the Knights on the mound. Athlete of the Week continued her phenomenal season with a pair of runs batted in.

The Knights host Danvers tomorrow afternoon at 3:45 p.m.

Boys Tennis

Mike Terranova and Sherwin Yamin got wins in singles as the Knights beat their rivals from Masco 4-1. Rosse Boyle and Alex Drufee paired up for a win as did Zach Peterson and Andrew Smith.

The Knights’ last regular season matchup of the season will be this afternoon at North Reading.

Girls Tennis

The Lady Knights faced an unbeaten Masconomet team and fell five matches to none. Tomorrow North Andover will host North Reading and the season will conclude on Friday afternoon against Pentucket.

Today

The team hosts North Reading at 3:30 p.m.

The travels to North Reading for a 3:30 p.m. match.

The team is at Winchester for a 4:00 p.m. game.

The team plays against Tewksbury in Lawrence at 4:30 p.m.

O-Zone Lock of the Week

Last week the O-Zone’s lock was for the Knights of the baseball diamond to beat Rockport. The Knights  not only won, but they crushed Rockport 11-2. Tyler Leavitt pitched for the Knights striking out five and he didn’t give up a run. The Knights are on a 16 game winning streak and their record is 16-1.

The O-Zone now has a 10-1 career record predicting Scarlet Knights games.

This week, the O-Zone predicts that the baseball team will continue their dream season with a win over Tewksbury today. The Knights are entering the Lawrence Tournament on an unprecedented winning streak and the O-Zone does not see it ending any time soon.
