Everyone's A Player Charity Golf Tournament This Month

The group seeks to make sports participation affordable for kids.

Everyone’s A Player (www.everyonesaplayer.org), a non-profit organization dedicated to helping underprivileged youth in the Merrimack Valley participate in sports, will hold its second annual golf tournament at Andover Country Club on Tuesday, May 28, 2013.   The charity tournament features a four-person scramble format and costs $200 per golfer, which includes breakfast and lunch. Registration and breakfast start at 6:45 am and the tournament kicks off with a 7:30 am shotgun start.

The tournament will also feature putting and driving contests and include an array of raffle prizes that will be given away during the event.   All proceeds from the event will directly benefit children age 5 – 18 who participate in various Merrimack Valley sports programs.  Some of the partners we are working with on this effort include: Beyond Soccer in Lawrence, Haverhill High, Hoops for Hope, Lowell High Athletics and Lowell Middle School Rec Program, Merrimack Valley Academy of Tennis, North Andover Booster Club, North Andover Schools, North Andover Soccer Association, Puma's Volleyball Club and Visionary Basketball Group.

Generous contributions from a variety of local businesses and families are helping to make this event possible. Lowell General Hospital is leading the way as the title sponsor of the event and North Andover Soccer Association (NASA), Mosquito Squad and Enterprise Investment Advisors are the premier sponsors.  A few other sponsors include: Cincotta Landscape; Coldwell Banker (Margus Deery); Consoli Reality; Cresa Partners; Doctors Express; Downer Brothers Landscaping; Elements Therapeutic; International Union of Operating Engineers; Jamie’s Restaurant; Lowell Five; Northeast Tennis, Olga Lee, REALTOR with Re/Max Partners;  Parisi School at Cedardale;  Salem Five;  Stephen M. Weisner, DMD; Testa Building & Remodeling; and The Willows Tennis Club, among others.

“We are very grateful for the support of our sponsors, volunteers and the many families who have donated to help make this event possible,” says Tracy Sportelli, director of Everyone's A Player. “With these donations, EAP will be able to expand its reach and provide many more opportunities for deserving kids throughout the Merrimack Valley to participate in sports programs. These programs are making a significant impact on the lives of kids and families in our community and we thank all of our supporters for making their dreams a reality.”
