Chilis Repeat as State Champions
North Andover's U16 Division 1 squad repeated as state champions.

With 7 players returning from the MTOC U16 D2 championship team of 2010 and 7 new players, the Red Hot Chili Peppers repeated as MTOC U16 D1 champs in 2011!

The Chilis started the tournament with a 1-0 win over Plymouth (goal by Emily Carney), a 1-0 win over Medford (goal by Kaitlin Poor) and a 0-0 tie against Falmouth.
They played Northboro in the semi final and won 2-0 (goals by Kaitlin Poor and Sarah Dumont). They advanced to a repeat of last year's final against Mariner.

After regulation ended 0-0, they played 2 overtimes and settled it in PKs (penalty kicks converted by Caitie Wolstromer, Kaitlin Poor, Meagan Langton and Deirdre Martyn).
The Chilis played 170 minutes of soccer on Sunday... all with 1 sub. The winning game ball was given to Emily Dumont for her play in net, going through the ECYSA tournament and all of MTOC without allowing a goal!
