Athlete of the Week: April Daugherty
Daugherty and the Merrimack field hockey team is ranked #8 in the nation.
The Merrimack College field hockey team is ranked #8 in the nation and a big reason for that is junior forward April Daugherty.
Daugherty and the Warriors are 4-1 this season. The Wakefield, Rhode Island native is a team captain.
She is a Communication Studies/Education major at Merrimack and earned many rookie of the year honors as a freshman.

Daugherty and the Warriors have not given up a goal in their passed three games beating Bentley, Stonehill, and St. Michael's. Their next challenge is on Saturday night at home against American International.
