Stachey's Packs the House for Kittredge Gym
The school is a little closer to having their new gym.
Supporters of the Kittredge School Gym effort gathered at Stachey's Wednesday night for the "Corks for Courts," a kick-off wine tasting fundraiser for the campaign to pay for the new gym.
Organizers couldn't have asked for nicer weather, and tickets sold out.
At this year's Town Meeting, the town voted to build Kittredge Elementary School a gym.
Town Meeting approved funding for the new gym, estimated at about $900,000, but it turns out that's not enough to include hardwood flooring, basketball hoops, and wall padding.
So for the next couple months, there will be various fundraisers to help close that gap.
