North Andover High Holding Mock Crash as Warning for Prom Season

The event will feature a graphic portrayal of a fatal drunk driving crash.

North Andover High School on Friday will hold a mock crash event to serve as a warning against drunk driving for students as prom and graduation season approaches.

The event will feature a graphic portrayal of a fatal drunk driving crash.

"This accident will be as accurate to the real situation as possible in order to give the students a very realistic portrayal of what can happen," the school said in a statement.

Earlier in the day, students will hear from an alumnus about his "poor decisions in his life and the consequences he faced," the school said.

North Andover High has held similar demonstrations over the past few years.
