NAHS Marching Band Performs 'Thriller'

The following was submitted by Helen Pickard.

Everyone at Walsh Stadium had a half-time TREAT on Friday night.  The marching band at North Andover High School swelled to more than 200 members when joined by North Andover Middle School 8th graders for the November 2, 2012 football game.

In addition to the NAHS band’s award winning competition show entitled “Alice in Wonderland,” 8th grade band students integrated with HS musicians in a Halloween rendition of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.”

Last year, the North Andover Music Association with the help of the community raised $30K for new instruments.  Every available one was in use with the increased ranks.  Chatting on the sidelines, NAMA treasurer commented, “I like the size of this group.  It would be a uniform challenge, but we could figure out something.”
