Yard Waste Disposal in North Andover 2014

It’s that time of year again, Spring Cleaning!  The warm weather brings the clean up of leaves, tree limbs and other yard waste.  Yard waste is one of the materials that is banned from disposal at incinerators and landfills.  To help keep yard waste out of the trash, the town of North Andover has set up some great programs to make it easy for residents by providing free yard waste pickup and drop off.

There are two ways you can dispose of your yard waste in the town of North Andover.

1. Drop it off at the Cyr Recycle Facility on Sharpners Pond Road.

The Cyr Recycle Facility opens on April 15, 2014, and their hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday 8-3pm.  Residents of North Andover may drop off yard waste FREE until May 10th.  After that time, you will require a sticker to enter, you can purchase one at the DPW for $10 per passenger vehicle, or $750 for a commercial vehicle.

2. Curbside Leaf Collection. 

Yard waste pickup in North Andover begins on May 5th for two weeks.  Just set your bags out in front of your home and the truck will come by your house once per week for the two weeks.  You’ll need to use Brown Biodegradable Yard Bags, and sticks and branches must be included INSIDE the bags only.
