Town Sets 2012 Election Calendar

Thinking about running for town office next year? It's not too early to start planning. Town Clerk Joyce Bradshaw presented an election calendar at Monday's Board of Selectmen meeting.

Nomination papers require certified 50 signatures in order to have the candidate on the ballot.

Dates

• Nomination papers will be available at the town clerk's office beginning Nov. 28.
• Last day to obtain nomination papers will be Feb. 3.
• Last day to submit nomination papers is Feb. 7.
• Last day to file with town clerk is Feb. 21.
• Last day to object or withdraw is Feb. 23.
• Last day for voter registration is March 7.
• Last day to post warrant for town election is March 20.
• The 2012 town election will be on March 27.
