Town Looking to Collect Taxes on House

Berkeley Road home owes several thousand dollars.

Assistant Town Manager Raymond Santilli is now the custodian of a Berkeley Road home, in an attempt by the town to get past taxes paid.

The owners of the home, J. Alan and Maureen Roberts, owe $157,000 in real estate taxes, according to a report in the Eagle-Tribune.

Officials can sell the home — 42 Berkeley Road — to collect the taxes, but plan to work with the property owner.
