Postal Workers Union Endorses Tierney

The union cites Tierney's labor advocacy.

The American Postal Workers Union Local 100 has endorsed Congressman John Tienrey for reelection.

“John Tierney has always stood with us when it matters most," American Postal Workers Union Local 100 President Paul Kilduff said in a statement announcing the endorsement. "He is the only member of Congress from New England on the Education and Workforce Committee and provides a strong voice for the working families of Massachusetts. The Postal Workers of Local 100 are supporting John Tierney because he has worked hard to protect jobs here in Massachusetts. This election is about who will stand with working families and Congressman Tierney has always had our backs."

The APWU is the largest postal workers union in the world and represents hundreds of thousands of postal workers nationwide.

“I am honored to have the support of the Postal Workers Union," Tierney said. "Working men and women are getting squeezed by the right-wing majority in Congress; it’s time that we have a majority in Congress that will stand up for the middle class. I look forward to continuing my work with the Postal Workers on the issues that matter to hard working families across the 6th District."
