Election season 2012 is in high gear now, and we don’t want you to miss a thing. Here are some highlights from various races from your area.

CONGRESS DISTRICT 6

Congressman John Tierney and Libertarian candidate Dan Fishman attended a debate in Lynn Thursday night to discuss issues relating to seniors. But Republican candidate Richard Tisei opted not to attend. Tisei did, however, post
“Women in the Workforce,” with U.S. Department of Labor Secretary Hilda Solis and Massachusetts Labor and Workforce Development Secretary Joanne F. Goldstein.

U.S. SENATE

Sen. Scott Brown He spoke with seniors about Medicare and other issues. An unidentified man in the audience stood up and delivered a racial rant about President Obama. But otherwise, the event went smoothly.

Brown’s opponent, Elizabeth Warren, was “I am proud to stand with Elizabeth Warren, who has fought her whole life to create a level playing field for working families and small businesses,” Scanlon said.

HOUSE ESSEX 14TH

The Primary is Sept. 6, and candidates and their supporters are giving one last push to appeal to voters.
