North Andover Republican Spring Fling Thursday

The following was submitted by the North Andover Town Republican Committee.

The North Andover Republican Town Committee will hold its 4th annual Spring Fling on Thursday, March 14th, with a line-up of special guests.

This year's event will be held at The China Blossom - which has hosted radio personality and author Howie Carr, Charlie Baker and others, in support of North Andover Republicans. This year’s event will feature morning radio talk show host Jeff Kuhner of WRKO. All three Republican candidates for the U.S. Senate will be in attendance – former United States Attorney Michael Sullivan, Navy SEAL Gabriel Gomez, and State Representative Dan Winslow. We will also hear from the candidates for our local offices in the upcoming March 26th election.

“Every year the event helps raise money for the Jim Gammie Scholarship Fund, which has awarded scholarships to graduating seniors of North Andover for the last four years,” said C.J. Gangi, Chair of the North Andover Republican Town Committee. “We are proud to be giving back to our community.”

This year the North Andover Republican Town Committee will honor David Swarbrick , a North Andover native who has just returned from serving in Afghanistan. Mr. Swarbrick was awarded a purple heart and bronze star during his overseas service. He is currently employed at the Lawrence Fire Department after transferring out of the North Andover Fire Department.

“His service is exemplary and his story is compelling,” Karin Rhoton, a former School Committee member and member of the Republican Town Committee, stated. “I encourage everyone to come and meet him and his family and to support a worthy cause.”
