North Andover Memorial Day Parade Monday

The Memorial Day Parade will form at 10 a.m. on the west side of the Old Center Common.

The following is from the Town of North Andover:

The Town of North Andover will be observing Memorial Day and saluting fallen heroes with the appropriate Parade and Ceremony. This year marks 70 years since the D-Day Invasion of Normandy, the largest amphibious military operation ever. In recognition of this, this year’s Memorial Day Ceremony will recognize the heroic service and sacrifices of our World War II Veterans.

The Memorial Day Parade will form at 10 a.m. on the west side of the Old Center Common (Osgood & Andover Sts.). The parade will then go right onto Mass. Ave. and then head left onto Salem Street with the parade ending at Ridgewood Cemetery for the Ceremony.

Upon completion of the Ceremony, the Parade will reform and proceed back to the Common and disperse from there. A small contingency will form at VFW
Post 2104 on Park Street for the ceremonial Flag Raising and reception.

In the event of inclement weather, services will be held in the Middle School Veterans Auditorium at 10:30 a.m.
