I still have do not have internet, phone or cable services as of this morning. At least we have cell phones. I worry about the people who do not. Especially the elderly. God forbid they have an emergency and no way to call for help.

As someone who specializes in disaster recovery and high availability, I find it unacceptable that Verizon has no contingency emergency cutover Plan when accidents happen to their fiber cable service. This is the second day I am without a basic phone line, after repeatedly expressing To Verizon that I did not want their phone service. The most inexcusable piece of the whole puzzle is that someone had the brains to Put the entire North Andover police station under the realm of Verizon service. Shame on Verizon and Shame on whoever is the IT director For the police department Timothy Carroll, MBA, PHD Candidate Database and Virtualization Expert 978-257-3602
