Two Charged With Stealing Tires at Heritage Green

The following information was supplied by the North Andover Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Two men are accused of stealing tires after a reported interrupted theft at the Heritage Green complex early Friday morning.

At 5:16 a.m., police received a call from someone reporting they saw two males stealing tires off of cars on Edgelawn Avenue. Officers Michael Gilligan, Scott Whittaker, Michael Reardon went to the scene, and they were joined by Chief Paul Gallagher, North Andover Police Lt. Charles Gray said.

Officer Reardon apprehended the first suspect in a red minivan used in the theft, Gray said, but the other suspect fled. Soon after, Officer Whittaker searched Wood Ridge Drive -- which is just through a small area of woods from Edgelawn Avenue --- where he reportedly found the second suspect.

Argenis Carpio, 20, of 163 High St., Lawrence, and Louis, Higs, 20, of 19 Union St., North Andover, were both charged with larceny and taken to Lawrence District Court Friday morning.
