Teen Faces Charges After Afternoon Chase

A local teen faces multiple charges after police say he led them on a chase Saturday afternoon.

Police reportedly attempted to stop a Jeep driven by Andrew Hanley, 18, of 42 Royal Crest Drive Apt. 9, North Andover, on Chickering Road for running a red light. But, according to reports, Hanley didn't stop and instead sped away down Andover Street toward the Common.

Hanley allegedly led police on a chase through the Chestnut Street neighborhood and back to Andover Street.

Eventually, Hanley's jeep reportedly pulled into the Kittredge Crossing condominium complex and Hanley fled on foot.

After searching that area, police found and apprehended Hanley, who reportedly suffered an injured ankle.

Hanley is charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and speeding. According to reports, other other charges are possible.

Friday, April 5

At 2:04 p.m., Kohl's reported a shoplifter. Zuleika Correa, 31, of 85 Columbus Ave. Apt. 1, Lawrence, was charged with shoplifting.

At 5:50 p.m., Market Basket reported a shoplifter. Justin Graham, 29, of 37 Howard St., Lawrence, was charged with shoplifting.

At 8:22 p.m., a caller reported that kids dancing in the roadway at Burger King caused an accident in that parking lot.
