Smoky Bar Scene and Cemetery Brush Fire

Thursday, April 19

At 12:21 a.m., a caller reported hearing patrons yelling at It turned out that there was popcorn burning and the doors had been opened to clear the smoke.

At 12:39 a.m., a Caller on Farrwood Avenue reported that her ex-boyfriend was knocking on her door and trying to get into her home. The man went on his way, and the woman said she planned to file a restraining order.

At 10:19 a.m., a caller on Sargent Street reported that his son was damaging his house. Police charged Vincent Romano, 17, of 30 Sargent St., North Andover, with destruction of property and assault and battery of a household member.

At 12:59 p.m., reported a shoplifter. Police charged Gloria Adorno, 54, of 79 Elizabeth St., Albany, N.Y., with larceny.

At 5:01 p.m., there was a brush fire on Jefferson Street, believed to possibly have been caused by a camp fire at a nearby cemetery. The fire was contained and extinguished, and its causer is under investigation.
