Sleeping Driver and Bus Stop Syringes

The following are excepts from the North Andover Police log.

Wednesday, Feb. 15

At 4:09 a.m., a caller on Salem Street reported that she wanted her husband to leave but he wouldn't go. Police went to the home, and the husband left.

At 12:49 p.m., a caller from a school in Methuen reported a possible disturbance at the home of one of their students. Police went to a home on Sargent Street and arrested a juvenile for assault and battery of a household member and destruction of property.

At 7:52 p.m., a caller on Winthrop Avenue reported a vehicle in a parking lot with its engine revving for two hours. Police checked, and the driver was napping.

Thursday, Feb. 16

At 7:25 a.m., a caller reported seeing syringes on the side of the road and near a bus stop at Avery Park Drive and Wabster Woods Lane. Police removed the syringes.

At 12:42 p.m., there was a motor vehicle accident at the corner of Chickering Road and Prescott Street. The accident was believed to have been possibly caused by oil in the road.

At 4:14 p.m., an employee at TJ Maxx reported a shoplifter. Kristin Flynn, 18, of 18 Clark Road, Andover, was arrested for shoplifting.

At 8:15 p.m., a caller on Gibson Court requested a well-being check on her neighbor, who hadn't been heard from in a while. Police checked on the neighbor who was napping.
