Shoplifting Arrest Leads to Drug Bust

The following are excepts from the North Andover Police log.

Friday, June 28


At 11:54 a.m., Kohl's reported that a shoplifter had fled the store. Police located the suspect near Le Chen. Vincente Nunez, 46, of 64 Manchester St., Lawrence, was charged with larceny.

At 8:54 p.m., a caller reported that his girlfriend was damaging his car. Yumer Capellan, 20, of 11 Woodland St First Floor, Lawrence, was charged with domestic assault and battery and destruction of property.

Saturday, June 29


At 11:15 a.m., a caller on Sutton Street reported that their unlocked vehicle was broken into overnight and a GPS was stolen.

At 11:57 a.m., a caller at Royal Crest reported that their car was broken into and a phone charger was stolen.

At 3:28 p.m., Kohl's reported a female shoplifter sitting in a Mercedes in the parking lot. When police took the suspect into custody, they reportedly found class A drugs. Class A generally refers to opiates, including heroin. Nicole Pereira, 30, of 42 Trues Parkway, Sandown, N.H., was charged with shoplifting and possession of a class A substance.
