Rollover Driver Identified, In Critical Condition

Police say speed may have been a factor.

The man who was medflighted to Boston after his SUV rolled over on Route 114 Friday night has been identified.

North Andover Police Sgt. Charles Gray said Michael Charles Lightbrown, 21, of Andover, was driving his Ford Explorer on Route 114 Friday night toward Middleton and landed in a parking lot near

Gray said preliminary findings from the Accident Reconstruction Team investigation and witness statements suggest speed was a factor in the accident.

Lightbrown, who was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, was taken to Merrimack College, from where he was then flown by helicopter to Boston Medical Center. Gray said Lightbrown is reportedly in critical condition.

This is the second rollover accident on Route 114 in the past several days. On June 24, a man was driving his pickup truck on that road when The driver of that truck was not injured.

And in March, an accident near Merrimack College resulted in a death.
