Ring-and-Run and Domestic Assault

The following are excepts from the log.
Tuesday, Sept. 6
At 12:40 a.m., a caller reported a domestic dispute on Saunders Street. Police arrived and learned it was a verbal argument between a girlfriend and boyfriend and the boyfriend had left.
At 1:04 a.m., a caller on Bridges Lane reported that three men she didn't know were knocking on her door and had a U-Haul truck in her driveway. Police questioned the men, but it was a misunderstanding. They were helping someone move and had gone to the wrong house.

At 2:42 p.m., a caller on Park Street reported that a few youths were ringing doorbells in the area and running. Police searched, but did not find the kids.
At 10:02 p.m., a caller on Beverly Street reported that his neighbor came into his house and said her boyfriend was trying to hurt her and had a knife. Police went to the home and arrested Thomas Hamel, 38, of 84 Beverly St., for assault and battery on a household member, resisting arrest, possession of a class E substance and possession of a dangerous weapon.
