Rash of Car Break-ins and Shoplifting

The following are excepts from the log.

Wednesday, June 20

At 11:07 a.m., someone walked into the station and reported a larceny from his bank account.

At 5:40 p.m., an employee at reported that a customer's car had been broken into and the windows smashed in.

At 9:51 p.m., a caller at reported that her neighbor was banging on her wall to disturb her.

Thursday, June 21

At 1:18 a.m., a caller on Harvest Drive reported that the tires and rims had been stolen off his car and his car was on cinderblocks.

At 5:52 a.m., a caller on Glenwood Street reported that his car had been broken into overnight and his wife's purse was stolen.

At 6:19 a.m., a caller on Winthrop Avenue reported that her car had been broken into overnight.

At 7:52 a.m., a caller on Chickering Road reported a suspicious man knocking on her door. Timothy Leahy, 30, of 262 Littleton Road, Chelmsford, was arrested for disorderly conduct, possession of a class C substance and trespassing.

At 3:18 p.m., a caller on Fieldstone Court reported that his girlfriend's car had been broken into overnight.

At 4:14 p.m., Market Basket reported a shoplifter. Michael Chenard, 33 of 69 Elm St., North Andover, was arrested for shoplifting and assault and battery and also had warrants for his arrest for two drug charges and a larceny charge.

At 4:36 p.m., Kohl's reported a shoplifter. Felito Diaz Sanchez, 35, of 72 Woodland St. Apt. 3, Lawrence, was arrested for shoplifting.

At 4:53 p.m., The Loft reported that a customer's car had been broken into.
