Police to Host Neighborhood Watch Meeting

Residents will get the how-to of neighborhood watch on May 4.

North Andover has seen a spike in break-ins and robberies over the past several months, and the North Andover Police want to help residents protect their town.

On May 4, there will be a North Andover Neighborhood Crime Watch meeting at the on Waverly Road at 6:30 p.m.

Speakers will include Chief Richard Stanley and Lt. Paul Gallagher of the North Andover Police. Residents will learn how to protect their property and make their neighborhoods safer as well as when to contact the police.

Police have said the burglary and robbery crime rate has increased in recent months, perhaps due to the bad economy, and that the best way to protect ones home is through a cooperative neighborhood protection effort with police and other neighbors.
